1. Scope
These provisions apply exclusively to consumers purchasing goods from our online shop under a distance contract. Separate B2B return and RMA terms apply to business customers.

2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. For goods, the period generally begins when the consumer or a third party indicated by the consumer, other than the carrier, receives the goods.

3. Exercising Withdrawal
Withdrawal must be clearly declared before the period expires:

No specific form is mandatory. The model withdrawal form below may be used.

4. Consequences
After valid withdrawal, we reimburse all payments received, including standard delivery costs. Additional costs for a more expensive delivery method chosen by the consumer need not be reimbursed. Reimbursement is generally made within 14 days after we are informed of withdrawal. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods are received or proof of dispatch is provided, whichever occurs first.

5. Return
Goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notice of withdrawal. The direct return costs are borne by the consumer, provided this was disclosed before conclusion of the contract.

6. Handling of Goods
The consumer may inspect and handle the goods only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. The consumer may be liable under applicable law for diminished value caused by handling beyond that necessary.

7. Statutory Exceptions
The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases provided by law, including, where the statutory conditions are met, goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised and certain sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons where the seal was removed after delivery. Not every special or customised product is automatically excluded.

8. Defective or Non-Conforming Goods
The right of withdrawal and statutory rights for defective or non-conforming goods are separate. Statutory consumer rights, including repair, replacement, price reduction or termination/refund where applicable, are not restricted by the B2B RMA procedure. Contact: sales@rickmersmarinesupply.com.

9. RMA in B2C
An RMA number is not a prerequisite for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal. An internal RMA or case number is used solely for processing and does not restrict statutory consumer rights.
