§ 1 General Return Conditions
(1) Returns are permitted exclusively in B2B transactions and only after prior written approval by Mathies Ship Supplies SAS.
(2) There is no general right of return.
(3) Returns are only accepted within the scope of an individually issued and confirmed RMA authorization by the Seller.
§ 2 RMA Procedure
(1) Every return requires a valid RMA number (Return Material Authorization).
(2) Returns without a valid RMA number will not be accepted and will be returned at the sender’s expense.
(3) The RMA number must be clearly indicated on the outside of the packaging.
(4) Issuance of an RMA number does not constitute recognition of a defect or an obligation to accept the return.
§ 3 Conditions for Returns
(1) Returns are only accepted if the goods:
• are unused
• are in their original packaging
• are complete and resalable
• have not been subjected to improper handling or storage
(2) Products in the areas of dangerous goods, safety equipment, special technical equipment, or custom-sourced goods are generally excluded from return, insofar as legally permissible.
§ 4 Shipping and Risk
(1) Returns are shipped exclusively at the customer’s risk and expense.
(2) The risk of loss or damage during return transport remains entirely with the customer until receipt at the seller’s warehouse.
§ 5 Inspection and Acceptance
(1) Every returned item will be subject to technical and commercial inspection upon receipt.
(2) Acceptance of a return is granted exclusively after successful inspection by the seller.
(3) The seller reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with the RMA conditions.
§ 6 Credit and Refunds
(1) Any credit note will only be issued after completed inspection and acceptance of the return.
(2) The amount of the credit note will be determined individually based on the condition of the goods.
(3) Processing times for credit notes may take up to 21 working days after completion of the inspection.
§ 7 Exclusions
(1) The following are particularly excluded from returns:
• dangerous goods and safety-related products
• individually sourced or project-based goods
• opened or used technical products
• products with expired or impaired functionality
§ 8 Final Provisions
(1) Deviating return arrangements are only valid if expressly confirmed by the seller in text form.
(2) No ancillary agreements exist.
